Moredarch
Glacial mountain terrain

Moredarch

Luis E. Moreda Rovirosa  ·  Architect  ·  Berlin

Approach

Moredarch is the practice of Luis E. Moreda Rovirosa. The work sits where architecture meets landscape: each project begins by reading the site, its soil, water and slope, and answers with buildings that recover the ground rather than override it.

Selected Works

A practice grounded in terrain.

Mountain Gate

Mountain Gate

Marseille, France  ·  2026

An abandoned industrial site at the edge of Calanques National Park, reworked as a quiet gateway for hikers and the community. The building gathers movement toward the mountain and lets the ground heal over time.

Transformations

Vermont, USA / Vík, Iceland  ·  2024

A house by Ensamble Studio taken apart and recomposed into two inhabitable structures. One rests in a marble quarry; the other rises from the ocean, held in balance by tension alone.

A self-sustaining oasis set against the advancing desert. Slope-aligned channels, agroforestry and a research dome recharge the aquifers and slowly rebuild soil, water and food.

Hybrid Building

Puebla, Mexico  ·  2022

A mixed-use block on an urban void, folding a fire station, gym, shops and terraces around a central plaza. Ramps, voids and double heights carry people through the levels.
